The City of Vancouver’s bok tower ban was passed on April 30.
The ban includes owners of any commercial property on any side of the city.
It prohibits the use of the bok structures to tow vehicles.
The ban also prevents owners from making any changes to their property.
In a statement, the city said it “would like to take a clear stance that bok is an integral part of Vancouver and that it does not belong in the hands of individuals who would seek to deny it to the public.”
