
The final group stage game is set for Tuesday.
The winner of the Group A and Group B matches will be crowned FIFA World Player of the Year, while the runner-up will go into the semi-finals to face Germany, who will be playing in the European Championship for the first time since 2004.
The tie will be decided by two games, which will be played on Tuesday, with the winner advancing to the semi finals on Thursday.
FIFA World Player Of The Year Tournament Organiser Nasser Al-Banna has confirmed the semi finalists will play the final match of the tournament on Thursday, with Egyptians Abdel El-Sayed and Fernando Nestor to lead their country into the final.
Egypt’s Mohamed El-Amin and Spain’s Kieran Gibbs are among the other contenders for the award.
El-Amine, 24, was an influential figure for the Egypt national team in their 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Japan and Switzerland and is considered one of the country’s best midfielders, having scored 15 goals in 38 appearances for the Pharaohs in all competitions this season.
Nestington, 22, was a key figure in the Egyptian side which secured the group title in January and has been the key performer for the team in recent months, scoring four goals in their last five matches.
Gibbs, 24 – The most prolific Egyptian midfielder of all time – with his 21 goals in 52 games in all competition for Egypt this season – is one of five players to have scored at least 20 goals in each of the last four seasons.
In his only appearance in the semi, the midfielder scored against Portugal in March and is also a prolific finisher with 10 goals in the last 18 games.
This will be the first final of the World Cup for Egypt and they are looking forward to competing for their first title since 2004 after they reached the semi final of Euro 2008 and qualification for the 2018 World Cup.
They have lost just once all season and have won two of their last three matches.
