
Monaca towas towing company offers $5,000 for king’s kong theme park towing location article Monacan, Mexico (CNN) King Kong theme park owners are offering a $5 million reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a former owner who allegedly defrauded the resort of $1.8 million by paying the company a flat rate of $300 per day.
A warrant was issued in Monaca on Monday and authorities are asking anyone with information on the case to call the Monacan Police Department at (505) 779-6200 or toll-free 1-800-CALL-LAD.
A reward of $5.5 million was offered for information that leads to the discovery of the person or persons responsible for defrauding Monaca Towa.
Towa said in a statement that the company is cooperating with authorities.
“We believe that this person is responsible for a series of fraudulent transactions over a period of time, and we are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of our property and its employees,” it said.
Monaca Towas chairman and CEO Carlos Aguilar, who is also a former president of the United Nations Development Program, told CNN affiliate Televisa that the man, who lives in Monacan but has not been identified, is responsible not only for the company’s financial woes but also for the loss to the resort.
“He is the man who is responsible.
He’s a fraudster, a con man.
And he’s the one who has ruined our resort,” Aguilar said.
Tower locations in the Monaca area include the King Kong Tower, Monaca Plaza, Monacan Plaza, Plaza de Monaca, Monadonada, Monterrey Plaza, the Monadone Plaza, La Monaca and Monaconda.
